A Success Story Update – Aaron Gregory

A Life Being Rebuilt

We are pleased to announce Aaron Gregory has recently completed his course at Cuyahoga Community College.

His success in that allowed him to receive county funds to move into his own place.

Aaron is off probation, successfully completed a college course and has been able to move out of the V.O.A. (Volunteers of America).

Congratulations - and good luck - Aaron

Success Happens From One Opportunity to the Next

"This is what we do..."

Recently a crew of men from St. Paul's Community Outreach and St. Herman's House of Hospitality performed work at a home in Geauga County.

One of the crew members really made a great impression on the Geauga County, Ohio resident; so much so that he would like to hire him at his personal place of business.

The two men are in communications to make that happen.

Ohio City Power offers homeless and jobless persons the opportunity to earn wages - whether in the form of day labor or permanent positions.

The day labor opportunities can sometimes lead to full-time employment.

Art Sales Support Outreach Services for Homeless and Jobless

Building Bridges of Compassion and Care at Fellowship Hall

Members of the Federated Church in Chagrin Falls, Ohio contribute portions of artwork,  textile and candy making sales to support Ohio City Power programs and services hosted at sister facility, St. Paul's Community Church and Outreach. St. Paul's serves the Ohio City neighborhood and Cleveland, Ohio vicinity.

From a recent Federated Church newsletter post:
"Lisa Braun, Executive Director of Ohio City Power, a program benefiting the homeless and jobless of the neighborhood of our sister church St. Paul's Community Church, is proud to offer many gifts designed by members of Federated.
Most recently local artists, Mary Ann Boysen and Mary Hobbs have donated their creations for sale.
A portion of the proceeds pays for bus tickets, food and clothing for job skills workshops.
You can find Lisa and other volunteers after both services in Fellowship Hall.
Hough Bakery chocolates, tie-dye items, beautifully knitted scarves and now custom pins and note cards will be available.
Thank you to the many loving members of Federated for donating their time and talents to those less fortunate.
For the whole story on Ohio City Power please visit the website here."
