Local talent is invaluable to catalyze interest and shift community attention to enterprise development. Federated Flies craftspeople undergo an assessment process and are required to complete four, two-hour training sessions at minimum wage with a private evaluation at session close prior to generating product.
Albert Wagner, Ohio City Power Fly Tyer, has studied fly tying with expert instructor Jim Newell, and is now producing flies for sale at the Ohio City Power e-Store. Both Bead Head Estaz Egg and Bead Head Woolly Bugger Streamers are crafted for sale. Store sales are a source of income for tyers.
